For the third year in a row we headed to the fruit farm this week to fill our baskets with strawberries. I found this visit easier than previous years. For a start, the little one can walk, which meant I had my hands free, and the big kiddo really embraced the whole experience which went tantrum free!
I’m a homebird at heart with big dreams of a garden we can grow our own fruit and veggies in one day, but for now, a pot of tomatoes and a few strawberries in our postage stamp patio garden will have to do.
There is something wholesome and pleasing about visiting a pick your own. It felt good to get our knees dirty and our fingertips stained and to come home with beautiful fruit to put on our dinner table.
