I’ve been slowly working my way through the house doing some Spring cleaning and sorting. Today I plan to tackle our glass doors in the kitchen which are covered in sticky hand prints. Then we’ll head out into the garden to repot our summer seedlings into bigger pots now they’ve grown strong enough.
I created a new counter top all purpose spray today as we’d run out so I thought I’d share it here. I find making my own sprays to clean our home quite satisfying – not only do I get peace of mind that we aren’t using chemicals in our home but I also like to tailor the scent to the seasons or my mood. Here’s what I used in today’s batch:
- ½ cup distilled white vinegar
- 2 cups cooled boiled water
- 2 drops castille baby mild liquid soap
- 25 drops essential oil (I used 7 drops tangerine, 6 drops peppermint, 3 drops rosemary, 4 drops eucalyptus, 5 drops thieves)
It smells fresh, clean and natural which makes the chore of housework a little lighter.
Happy new week and Springtime cleaning folks.
