This week’s diptychs are a collection of inbetween moments, many of which I captured with my new (old) point and shoot film camera. A train ride to Islington – glimpses of other people’s lives through their windows and back yards, candle light on my kitchen table, a silhouette of Indy against the setting sun, muddy reflections of wintery trees, cups of hot mint tea and coffee lying about the house and the first camelia blooms of the year. It seems too early for them to come into bloom but I’m not complaining – nothing like those sweet flashes of magenta to remind us new life is on the horizon. On Sunday we celebrated my sister’s 40th birthday at Bistrotech with her closest friends, many of whom I’ve known since school days. And I managed not 1 but 3 self portraits, sometimes it’s nice to show my face here and say hi! January so far has been good to me, slow and steady. I hope it has you too xo
After years of being on the waiting list, we finally have a little allotment plot. Technically it is our friend's plot, . . .
Living for buttered hot cross buns, signs of Spring peeping through the earth, cups of tea, fresh flowers, frosty leaves and five year . . .
