Raff is soon to be turning one and all my friends seem to be pop, pop, popping at the moment so I’ve been scouring the net recently looking for unique and delightful baby gifts. I’ve uncovered some real gems – super online kid’s boutiques and small handmade businesses and thought I’d share them with you. I’ve also finally cracked how to include links in my images – now you can click on the image and be directed to the relevant website.
Baby Moccs are all the craze at the moment and tick both form and function boxes on any mama’s checklist. How novel – a pair of shoes that don’t fall off, are suitable for little crawlers and fully fledged toddlers and come in every colour of the rainbow to suit your little’s tastes. The price tag has always deterred me but nonetheless, they are fabulous! Silver and gold shoes…. what’s not to love?!?!
Toy circus play world – A thing of beauty that any little one would delight in playing with. It encourages imaginative play, is bright and frivolous and quite simply the sweetest thing!
Stars, stripes, hats with ears, neon…. there’s nothing about Noé and Zoë that I don’t love. I could happily buy everything in her shop! Such a great place to find quirky gifts for new babies and older kids alike
When I was nesting (a whole year ago!) I found it impossible to find a baby mobile that wasn’t made of plastic and offensive to the eye… I ended up customising a wooden bird mobile that was a gift from Africa but if only I’d known about BabyJives! Set up by the incredibly talented Jahje Ives, BabyJives has a range of beautiful handcrafted fabric mobiles. Each design has a whimsical feel so they appeal to tiny babies for visual stimulation, and older children to feed their imagination.
I’m addicted to baby leggings. I literally can’t get enough of Raff’s chubbily wubbly little legs in lycra! It’s really hard to find cool leggings for boys – they’re mainly plain grey, back or white in the shops, so I couldn’t believe my eyes when I stumbled across Candy Kirby Designs. I have resisted indulging my addiction as these pants do not come cheap, but how much longer can I hold off?!?! Those stickman arrows… Aztec… Oh God – LOVE!
This little ele is such a sweet gift for children just learning to crawl! Rafferty adores the wooden push alongs he got given for christmas – they’re a great toy for development.
From a mumy blogger herself, this cloud cushion is hand printed and handmade. Clouds and stars… It’s darling!
I bought this rag doll for my best friend’s new baby for Christmas and have been meaning to do a post on it. Cleo and Poppy handmake all their dolls and even create custom designs if you so desire. It arrived promptly, was brilliant quality and made a change from the usual stuffed animal cuddly. Something to cherish for years to come.
This toy camera is a cracking gift for an older child. It’s beautifully made and even makes the click click sound when the button is depressed.
And that’s my round up. What amazing things for kiddies have you uncovered recently? What are your favourite online businesses? Do share!

This is not a sponsored post – I try to support small businesses where possible – they’re often run by mothers who are looking to make a sustainable income to support their choice to stay home with their kids. Plus you get more individual items this way too!
