I’ve seen so many changes in my sweet birdie the last month. Her language is really coming on – she’s saying new words each day. Lately she’s learnt ‘bus’, ‘dog’, ‘car’, ‘mine’ – the latter being her favourite of course 😉
She’s also taking an interest in a different kind of play – she’ll pick up some of Raff’s little figures and make them walk around the furniture, or hold two figure’s faces to each other and make a kissing sound. She pushes her fire engine around the kitchen island saying “neee naawww neee naaaw”. She loves to sit with a book – I’ll often find her like this, in some cosy knook of our home, reading aloud, babble babble to herself. It’s just the sweetest, most endearing thing. And if in doubt, if there’s a hint of boredom creeping in or we’ve exhausted the toy box, I’ll ask her if she wants to draw and she’ll say “yezzzzz!” in her most enthusiastic voice, before a big beaming smile stretches out across her face. She is really very good at drawing already and has a good eye for colour.
I’m so enjoying this age – the little discoveries she makes on a daily basis and the joy she gets from the simplest things. Such a smiley, snuggly and most affectionate girl she is, I love her beyond measure with every inch of my being.
