The festive holidays are in full swing. I’m savouring this extra time with Raff around, making the most of the freedom that a no school day gives you. We can do what we want, when we want to and despite being a bit of a routine lover, I kind of like the spontaneity and thinking up things for us to do.
The other morning we made jam tarts in our jammers – Raff is the perfect age for that sort of thing and giggled his way through a puff of flour dust. We also crafted beautiful paper snowflakes to hang in our window and decorated them with glitter but I didn’t manage to capture a photograph because I was literally covered head to toe in silver sparkles. I’ve sorted through the children’s things and filled two lovely boxes for Elsie with toys perfect for her age and ability. She can reach for them at any time and explore freely. I can’t believe it will be back to normal life in just one day. It always comes around so quickly and before you know it the decorations are down and we’re into a new year once more. I’m excited about all 2015 has in store for us. I hope to keep up with this little blog, take part in another 52 project and build a little bit more structure into our weeks to make sure the months don’t just pass us by.
Wishing you all a wonderful year ahead. x
