{For Kids} Nostalgic children’s wear

November 16, 2016

lcc

The trend for children’s clothes with a hint of nostalgia has never been stronger. You just have to scroll through instagram to feel the sense of revival for rompers, pinafore dresses, peterpan collars, floral blouses, bloomers and bonnets! And no brand seems to have done it better this season than Little Cotton Clothes with their beautiful autumn/winter collection. A versatile range full of simple, mix and match pieces for girls. Not only is the collection a refreshing change from the pink and sparkles on the high street, but the pieces wash really well too and the cosy fit is perfect for my adventure loving toddler.

Established by two London mums who live just round the corner from us, Little Cotton Clothes is a brand I feel was made for me. Except of course, it wasn’t! But this collaboration feels like the perfect fit. After Elsie outgrew all the old vintage dresses my sister and I wore when we were wee, this collection has filled the void and celebrates childhood rather than mimicking adult fashion.

Here are some photos of their latest pieces. I love how Imogen and Leonie have cleverly created a unified colour palette throughout so you can create a multitude of looks from just a handful of pieces, and the attention to detail such as broderie cotton lining and fabric covered buttons give a quality feel despite the friendly price-tag. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

If you love the linen Delsey Dresses which have now sold out fear not, more colours will be coming and restocked soon…

This post has been crafted in collaboration with Little Cotton Clothes. All views and images are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands we love who help keep this space growing.
