This morning I took Indie on a walk to find blackberries. We came home with a bowl full of leaves, acorns, feathers and grass but sadly not a blackberry in sight (well not a ripe one anyway).
I got this lovely hand knitted romper for Indie almost a year ago and it still fits beautifully thanks to the adjustable straps. Now the weather has gotten cooler I’ve turned over our wardrobes, digging out the wool and layers ready for the autumn and winter months ahead. I don’t spend much on the kids clothes, often finding gems on ebay or in charity shops and getting the bulk of it from the high street but I do add in a few beautifully made pieces here and there. Often they are ones I know will be handed down; hardwearing, timeless items that will be as beautiful today as they are when my grandchildren wear them.
Rainer & Bear are a tiny brand, made up of mum and daughter team, Abigail and Eileen. Both avid knitters and creative souls, they dreamt of making vintage inspired knitwear for little ones to play in. The wool is so soft and each piece is made by hand in England with such care, they are the perfect investment piece if you have a weakness for babies in knitwear like me.
