{Essential Oils} Scents to awaken & brighten this springtime

March 3, 2017

It’s Springtime, and I can feel the heavy cloak of winter lifting! Something inside of me is awakened when I hear birdsong or look up to notice a tree full of blousey, pink blossom. And whilst it’s not yet mild enough to dig out my sandals or fling open the back doors in the afternoon, these small reminders of new life, and new beginnings, warm my heart at least.

When it comes to using oils I tend to favour specific combinations at different times throughout the year.  I match different blends of essential oils to our family’s needs, which ultimately change and transition depending on the season we are in, and I also find my mood needs a variety of boosts based on where we are in the year; the light and especially the pace at which life is moving.

In winter I diffuse a lot of warming and immune boosting oils like clove, cinnamon, ginger, orange, eucalyptus, rosemary and Thieves TM as well as our favourite comforting blends like Peace and Calming TM and Valor TM. But when it comes to Spring, I want to shake up my senses and reinvigorate my mind and body with reviving blends of essential oils. I’ve recently developed four Springtime combinations that we’re enjoying at the moment, now the days are a little lighter and nature is waking up from the winter, and I wanted to share them here with you guys… With each of these combinations I use a diffuser to release the molecules and scent into our main living space. For the evening blend I’ll diffuse in our bedroom or in the children’s rooms to create a sense of calm before bedtime. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
