Celebrating Autumn
I love autumn time. The seasons full of the promise of cosier days and hearty stews yet still warm enough to enjoy being outdoors. The sun is glowing, the leaves are turning, the berries are in bloom and there are so many treasures for toddlers to find on the ground and delight in collecting. I took this little bird and her sweet baby bunny out for a long walk in the rustley leaves yesterday. She delighted in it all – the way the light hit the old brick walls and created amazing leaf shadows, the multitude of colours scattered upon the grass, the last of the wild flowers – just dandelions, but such a happy shade of yellow. It was one of those golden days as a mother, certainly one for the memory bank and a lovely way to welcome in October.
