I finally gave in today and washed and scrubbed our doors and skirting boards after a year’s worth of dust had built up in the edges and two little sets of dirty hand prints had manifested from my knee height down.
I used warm soapy water and added few drops of orange oil to help lift off the grime. You could use lemon (or a combination of the two) as an alternative. It’s a once, maybe twice a year task that I always put off, but once it’s done things look so much better.
Simple spring cleaning for me is often tackled in bitesize chunks, one job at a time working my way through the list of annual jobs little by little. After all there’s more to life than housekeeping. The rain has lifted so we’re headed out to the local street market now to fill our bellies with yummy grub and tire out the kiddos. Sundays might well just be my favourite…
