Linking up with Jodi for The 52 Project
It was half term last week so we escaped to the coast to feed our souls with the goodness of the sea and the sense of space it brings.
It was bitterly cold for most of our stay and my photographs definitely captured that. Despite frozen fingertips it was beautiful, the light was perfect, the waves were dramatic and the children revelled in the change of scene. We combed the beach for driftwood and shells which we took to our bath that evening. We spent slow time together. Slow time is good time and although it can be hard to stop all the rushing around of daily life, it is often necessary and it felt so right. Rest in winter is so important for our wellbeing. Recognising when we need it and learning to let go is worth pursuing.
