I’ve just discovered the beauty of ready made pastry in a can. I know, I know, I’m a cheat. But seriously, who has the time or the energy to scratch bake cinnamon rolls. The week started with a soaking of rain – the wettest of days where the school run was enough to drench you through to your undergarments. In between shoots I’ve been hibernating, slowly working my way through a year of personal photos, labelling, keywording and giving them a home in a place I will be able to find one day. I have literally thousands of images and the task of organising them all feels overwhelming at times, but these buns are helping and the pretty winter sunshine that is leaking into my kitchen as I sit at the table this afternoon.
My spring hyacinths are almost over, soon to be replaced by miniature narcissus bulbs. I love growing spring blooms inside at this time of year. A gentle reminder that Spring is just around the corner.
It’s almost time to get the kids, so I’m going to wrestle myself upstairs, put on my running shoes and squeeze a run in before the chaos of a Friday afternoon unfolds. Happy weekend friends x
