I can’t believe I’m sharing February’s, “month in pictures” already. Despite being the shortest month we seemed to pack a lot in. We celebrated two special birthdays for two special people which meant two birthday cakes to be made and two sets of candles to be blown out. The kids and I took a roadtrip down to the cottage over the school break, craving the salty sea air and wild landscapes. Elle and I survived another bout of sickness, being struck down one after the other. We surrendered to it, giving in to cosy days at home napping, painting and pottering. On valentine’s day, Oli and I exchanged cards that were uncannily similar in style and theme. I ventured back into the garden, setting to work to pave the way for Spring. And just this week, on the last day of February, the kids and I prepared pancakes at the kitchen table to see out the month.
Perhaps you’ll notice the light in this collection of images, soft and wintery, casting pretty shadows that never fail to catch my attention and pull me to my camera. I hope you all had a lovely month and are as ready as I am for Spring.
