A portrait of my children, once a week every week in 2015. Linking up with Jodi for The 52 Project.
Last week we had a heatwave in London. The three of us experienced a yucky, deflated sense of exhaustion descend over our sticky bodies and so we simply gave into it. I made a batch of ice pops to keep us cool and we had regular hosing off sessions in the garden much to Raff’s delight.
My mum visited us on one afternoon and we braved a picnic in Richmond Park. It was too hot really but she’d brought her new pup to meet the kids and they were in their element chasing him round a tree. This photo of Raff was taken that afternoon as we went looking for treasure in the ferns. We found a parakeet’s feather and some sticks to take home with us.
I’ve got back into the rhythm of a good long daily walk with Elsie after her morning snooze. She’s started to resist the straps on her pushchair and protests when she’s had enough of sitting and wants to get out. This is an awkward age for her – she still isn’t walking and is frustrated to sit for long periods. Hoping she masters it soon.
